Application

Tetraethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate (stabilized with HQ) is a water-white to pale-straw liquid primarily used as a crosslinking agent for acrylic resins. Its purpose is to enhance the properties of polymers by bonding macromolecules to create a more rigid three-dimensional structure. This facilitates the dilution of high-viscosity monomers and improves the overall performance of hydrophilic polymers, especially in PEG-based hydrogels. While it is insoluble in water, it dissolves readily in styrene, many esters, and aromatic compounds and has limited solubility in aliphatic hydrocarbons. Due to its combustible nature, handling precautions are necessary.
