The cathode materials, which determine the capacity and power, is the heart of the battery. They are primarily composed of metal oxides and have different properties depending on the type and ratio of the metals. For instance, nickel (Ni) has high capacity, cobalt (Co) and manganese (Mn) have high safety, and aluminum (Al) increases the power of the battery. The selection of the suitable cathode materials for different applications is critical for batteries.
