(3-Mercaptopropyl)Triethoxysilane is designed to enhance the performance of mineral-filled elastomers improving their modulus tensile and tear strength heat buildup resistance abrasion resistance and overall resilience It can be applied as a pretreatment on minerals or incorporated during the compounding process This product is particularly useful in mineral-reinforced rubbers such as those used in the manufacturing of shoe soles rollers wheels white sidewalls and wire and cable insulation Beyond these applications it serves as an important intermediate in polymer and tire production and is also employed as a laboratory reagent
