Las9 has the unique ability to form complexes with cations such as LiC, NaC, KC, RbC, and CsC. In addition to its role in ester synthesis, 2-allyloxyethanol serves as an end-capping reagent for producing 2-allyloxyethanol-terminated polyurethane, which acts as a modifier for polyurethane-modified polydimethylsiloxane (PUMS) coatings. This makes it valuable in enhancing the properties of coatings. Moreover, it is soluble in alcohol and oils, providing versatility for use in various applications.
