Application
Methylamine HydroBromide (Low water content) serves as a critical precursor in the synthesis of methylammonium lead bromide-based perovskite materials, known for their exceptional optical properties such as green emission and photoluminescence. These materials are essential in fabricating renewable energy devices, including light-emitting diodes (LEDs), perovskite solar cells (PSCs), and photovoltaic cells, owing to their ability to tune the band gap and absorb high-energy photons. The bromide-based perovskites, with a band gap of 2.3 eV and notable energy levels, can enhance the performance of tandem cell structures by providing a higher open-circuit voltage compared to iodide variants. These characteristics have led to the development of high-efficiency solar cells, exhibiting a VOC of up to 1.40 V, a fill factor of 79%, and a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.7%. Furthermore, the potential of MAPbBr3 nanoplatelets in light-emitting applications is evidenced by their bright photoluminescence at 529 nm and a quantum yield reaching 85%.
