    Product Name
    Graphite Fluoride (Carbon Monofluoride)
    Category
    Graphenes
    Application
Graphite Fluoride, a versatile material characterized by its flat carbon layers with fluorine atoms bonded above and below, serves multiple purposes due to its unique properties. Its composition varies between C3.6F to C4F, and it appears as a velvety black powder with a slightly bluish tint. With a density of 2.05-2.09 under xylene and a resistivity of 2-4 ohm cm at 750 kg/cm², Graphite Fluoride is stable against acids, bases, and typical organic reagents. Although it decomposes slowly when heated above 100°C for prolonged periods and deflagrates when rapidly heated, it remains highly useful across various applications. It is primarily utilized in cathodic materials, providing excellent performance in electrochemical cells. Additionally, its lubricative properties make it valuable in specialized lubricant formulations. In the realm of imaging and copying, Graphite Fluoride is employed in image recording and pressure-sensitive copying. Furthermore, it finds application in carbon filament incandescent lamps, where it contributes to efficient lighting solutions.
