Application

Disperse Red 1 serves as a versatile coloring agent primarily used to dye polyester and acetate fibers. This azo disperse dye appears as a dark red powder and is characterized by its water-insoluble nature. However, it dissolves effectively in solvents such as ethanol, acetone, and benzene, making it suitable for various dyeing applications. Its stability in different chemical conditions is noteworthy; it turns yellow brown in strong sulfuric acid and shifts to a deep crimson red upon dilution, while retaining a red hue in nitric and strong hydrochloric acid solutions. In high sodium hydroxide concentrations, it appears red light brown. Disperse Red 1 is effectively utilized for dyeing and printing polyester and blended fabrics, as well as acrylic, polyamide, and various acetate fibers. It's applicable in both high temperature and high-pressure dyeing methods, maintaining a medium dyeing rate with excellent leveling and lifting properties, while not being overly sensitive to temperature changes. Moreover, it can color wool, plastic, and fur, providing wash fastness, light fastness, and perspiration fastness, achieving high standards of fading and stain resistance as per ISO ratings.
