Through a specific reaction with 4-nitrophenylhydrazine, it forms (2,2'-bithiophene-5-carbaldehyde)-4-nitrophenylhydrazone (BT-NPH), and it can be transformed into bithiophene fulleropyrrolidine by refluxing with sarcosine and fullerene. Additionally, when heated with N,N-bis(4-amino-2,3,5,6-tetramethylphenyl)naphthalene-1,4,5,8-dicarboximide (DANDI), it leads to the formation of azomethine phthalic diimides, showcasing its wide applicability in advanced material synthesis.
