    Application
Trimethylamine hydrochloride serves as a versatile compound with a multitude of applications. Primarily, it is utilized in the production of quaternary ammonium compounds and as an insect attractant. It plays a crucial role as a raw material for synthesizing choline chloride and ion exchange resins. Additionally, this compound functions as a cationic starch reagent, a phase transfer catalyst, and is involved in the creation of oil field chemicals. It is employed as a warning agent for natural gas and a flotation agent. Chemically, trimethylamine hydrochloride is a hydrochloride salt formed from the reaction of trimethylamine and hydrogen chloride, containing a trimethylammonium ion. Moreover, it acts as a precursor to prepare aluminium chloride-trimethylamine hydrochloride ionic liquid, which is essential in the electrodeposition of aluminum wires. Furthermore, it is instrumental in synthesizing trimethylamine gallane, trimethylamine-borane, and azido-bridged perovskite-type metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
