Application
TQ1 serves as a high-performance polymer donor material designed to optimize the efficiency of organic solar cells (OPVs). With a power conversion efficiency of 6.0%, an open circuit voltage of 0.89 V, a short circuit current density of 10.5 mA/cm², and a fill factor of 0.64, TQ1 is an alternating copolymer that combines an alkoxylated quinoxaline acceptor with a thiophene donor. This composition underpins TQ1's role as a cost-effective medium band-gap polymer, fueling advancements in solar technology. Notably, when used with PC71BM as the acceptor and 1-Chloronaphthalene as an additive, TQ1 has achieved device efficiencies exceeding 7%, largely due to enhanced polymer chain order and favorable morphological characteristics.
