average Mn 2,500
Molecular Formula
(C3H4O2)nC5H8O3
Application
This poly(L-lactide) is a well-defined biodegradable polymer which is functionalized with an alcohol on one end and an acrylate on the other. Acrylates are commonly used in polymerizations or in ligatation to thiols with thiol-ene click chemistry. Polylactide is commonly used in several applications including drug delivery, compatibilizer, emulsifier, thermoplastic elastomer or impact-resistant plastic.
