Application
1-Hydrazinophthalazine Hydrochloride, 98%, is primarily designed as a potent vasodilator and antihypertensive agent. Through its ability to relax vascular smooth muscles, it effectively reduces blood pressure by decreasing peripheral resistance, which enhances blood flow in peripheral vessels. This compound not only serves as an inhibitor of DNA methylation, thereby reactivating tumor suppressor genes, but it also acts as a non-selective MAO-A/B inhibitor, impacting semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase. It is known to decrease reactive oxygen species production and nitric oxide levels in activated macrophages, in addition to affecting mRNA expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase. Its unique property of increasing renal blood flow makes it particularly beneficial for patients with renal insufficiency. Often utilized in combination with other less potent antihypertensive agents, it ensures effective management of moderate-to-severe hypertension while minimizing potential side effects.
