Additionally, its sintered components are employed as evaporation material in the creation of hard film dielectric coatings and thin film capacitors. As a sputtering target with purities of up to 99.999%, yttrium oxide is pivotal in the formation of hard films and dielectric coatings. It has played a role in the development of perovskite-type structures and has been instrumental in studying phase formation and sintering characteristics.
