    Application
Tetramethylammonium hydroxide is a versatile product used in various industrial applications. In the field of organic silicon, it acts as a catalyst in the production of materials like dimethyl silicone oil, organic silicone resin, and silicon rubber, with the advantage of being easily removable and not contaminating the final products. In chemical analysis, it serves as a polarographic reagent for polarography experiments. In thermochemolysis studies of fungal degradation of wood, it is utilized as an analytical reagent. For chemical purification, tetramethylammonium hydroxide helps in the removal of metal elements, providing an ash-free base that ensures the precipitation of metals. Within the electronics industry, it plays multiple roles: as a brightening and anisotropic etching agent, a cleaning agent, and a photoresist developer in computer silicon chip production and circuit board printing. It is also employed in semiconductor manufacturing as a chemical stripper. Additionally, it acts as a surfactant to prevent nanoparticle aggregation in ferrofluid synthesis and as a structure-directing agent in the synthesis of zeolites.
