It displays various solubility properties: it dissolves in hot water to produce a vibrant red solution, and in hot ethanol, the solution takes on a red light brown hue. Exposure to concentrated sulfuric acid turns the substance red light yellow, and upon dilution, it yields a fluorescent red yellow precipitate. In alkaline conditions, such as when sodium hydroxide is added, the dye solution acquires a blue color.
