    Application
Tetrahydrofurfuryl Acrylate (stabilized with MEHQ) serves as a key component in the development of bio-based photopolymers. By reacting with tridecyl methacrylate and a small amount of 1,3-benzodithiol, these photopolymers exhibit thermostable shape memory characteristics. Initiated by Ethyl phenylphosphonate (2,4,6 trimethylbenzoyl) as the photoinitiator, the resulting materials possess a substantial biorenewable carbon content between 63.7 and 74.9 percent. Increasing the concentration of Tetrahydrofurfuryl Acrylate enhances the rate of light curing, stiffness, and overall mechanical and thermal properties of the photopolymers. Consequently, these environmentally friendly materials have the potential to replace petroleum-based thermostable shape memory polymers across various applications.
