    Application
Polypropylene, with a melt index of 12g/10min, serves as a versatile thermoplastic material known for its low density and balanced attributes, including thermal, chemical, and electrical properties. With moderate strength that can be enhanced using reinforcing agents like glass fiber, polypropylene stands out in applications requiring resistance to boiling water or steam sterilization due to its limited heat tolerance. It resists chemical attacks from aqueous solutions of inorganic salts or mineral acids and bases, even under high temperatures. Although susceptible to halogens and certain hydrocarbons at elevated temperatures, it remains largely unaffected by most organic chemicals at room temperature. The intrinsic translucency and autoclavability of polypropylene can be customized further by incorporating fillers, blending with synthetic elastomers, or copolymerizing with other monomers. Its unique molecular structure allows the material to be molded into thin films as slim as 5μm, making it ideal for use in applications such as capacitor films, where minimizing thickness and reducing electrical loss are crucial.
