Known for its low density and biocompatibility, it integrates well with fillers and flame retardants. Ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers also serve in transdermal drug delivery systems, acting as membranes or backings, notably in delivering drugs like atenolol, triprolidine, and furosemide. Its potential in controlled drug release can be further optimized using plasticizers.
