Application

Polyoxazolines with alkyne end functional groups can be covalently attached to azide groups through copper-mediated ligation. Polyoxazolines are biocompatible; hydrophilic; amorphous alternatives to poly(ethylene glycol).

2-Ethyl-2-oxazoline is a colorless liquid that is easily soluble in water, also soluble in various organic solvents, and has an amine odor. The aqueous solution is alkaline. The compound is stable in alkali, but hydrolyzes under the action of acid.
