Description

This is an alcohol soluble non reactive polyamide resin in solid form suitable for flexographic printing inks. Inks prepared from this resin have good adhesion to a variety of substrates, excellent solvent release properties, low odour and good nitrocellulose compatibility.

Solubility

This product shows excellent solubility in a variety of solvents that do not attack rubber stereos. Under certain conditions the solutions forms reversible gels on standing and to avoid this, it is recommended to add small percentage of water or higher alcohols or aromatic hydrocarbon solvent.
This product has infinite solubility in ethanol and higher alcohols. It is soluble in methanol at higher concentrations – 40% and above.

Application

This resin exhibits good anti-blocking characteristics and finds use in specialized flexographic inks and release lacquers.
