By treating the PDMS with this kit, a durable hydrophilic surface is formed, significantly enhancing its wettability. This transformed surface becomes compatible with hydrophilic inks, making it suitable for a variety of printing applications. After using the kit, the treated PDMS surface allows water to spread completely, lowering the water contact angle to between 25 and 35°, which facilitates droplet-based processes and other applications where a hydrophilic surface is advantageous.
