It is utilized in copper-mediated ligandless aerobic fluoroalkylation and palladium-catalyzed aerobic oxidative cross-coupling reactions. Its applications extend to the use of recyclable magnetic-nanoparticle-supported palladium catalysts in Suzuki coupling reactions, as well as oxidative hydroxylation via copper catalysts. The compound facilitates ligand-free palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling, homocoupling with gold salts, and ruthenium-catalyzed cross-coupling. It also plays a role in CuI-catalyzed Suzuki coupling reactions and the complex palladium-catalyzed domino Heck-Mizoroki/Suzuki-Miyaura reactions. Additionally, it is involved in manganese triacetate-mediated radical additions of arylboronic acids to alkenes and is employed in the preparation of Pleuromutilin derivatives for ribosomal binding and antibacterial activity through "Click Chemistry," as well as in the creation of liquid crystalline polyacetylene derivatives.
