Application
Disperse Red 19 is a versatile compound that serves multiple purposes in various applications. Primarily appearing as a dark purple to dark red-brown crystalline powder, this substance can be integrated as red side groups in nonlinear optical (NLO) polyesters, indicating its potential use in optical switching devices. Additionally, its ability to bond with polyurethane to create stable films highlights its suitability for developing analog systems. Known for its yellow-red hue in powdered form, Disperse Red 19 dissolves well in solvents like ethanol, acetone, and benzene. Its color properties change under different acid conditions, appearing yellow with strong sulfuric acid, brown when diluted, and shifting from red to brown with strong hydrochloric acid. This dye is extensively used for coloring various fabrics, including polyester, acetate fibers, triacetate fibers, polyamide, acrylic, and blends thereof. Moreover, it finds application in shading wool and plastics, where it imparts a yellow light red hue. The product demonstrates robust fastness properties as per ISO standards, showing commendable performance in ironing, light exposure, perspiration, and washing, with ratings up to 5 for stain resistance and fading prevention.
