Application

Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, extrusion grade, is a white powder specifically designed to enhance the properties of standard polyvinyl chloride. By undergoing chlorination, this material achieves improved corrosion resistance and can endure operating temperatures that are 20-30°C higher than traditional PVC. As a result, CPVC is widely utilized in applications requiring excellent chemical resistance, such as in piping, fittings, ducts, tanks, and pumps. It is particularly effective for handling highly corrosive liquids and hot water. The robustness of CPVC has been demonstrated through its satisfactory performance in environments involving high concentrations of acids and bases, including 20% acetic acid, 40-50% chromic acid, 60-70% nitric acid at 30°C, and 80% sulfuric acid, hexane at 50°C, as well as 80% sodium hydroxide at temperatures up to 80°C.
