Application
Acid Blue 1 is a vibrant, greenish-blue organic dye commonly employed in inkjet textile printing due to its rich color properties. It appears as a dark blue powder, which dissolves readily in water and ethanol, displaying a blue hue. It exhibits unique chemical interactions, such as turning yellow-brown in concentrated sulfuric acid and golden upon dilution, while remaining stable as a blue solution with sodium hydroxide. This dye demonstrates good levelness in acid dye baths, making it suitable for dyeing and printing on wool, silk, and blended fabrics, and it can also be used for carbon paper, inks, and leather. In dyeing processes, it is sensitive to copper and iron ions but maintains its color with minimal change when exposed to chromium ions. Acid Blue 1 offers various fastness ratings, indicating its performance in light exposure, washing, perspiration, and seawater, with standards measured by ISO and AATCC.
